This is the NUMBER ONE question I am asked all the time by freelancers and emerging artists that envision a more creative life for themselves. In this mentorship we address various ways of how and where to start, and the tools you need to successfully ease into a freelance lifestyle.

Open Discussion

This is an open discussion during one of your three sessions to ask questions about whatever! There are many topics to discuss about freelance, so this is a great way to ask random questions that may not fit into any of the other discussion topics.

Portfolio Review

Even if you don’t have a portfolio, a portfolio review can still be done by looking over the work you have already created. This is more of an evaluation of where you are, what projects excite you creatively, and what current projects you can use to build your portfolio.

My experiences have allowed me to build a library of topics to share with you.

If it wasn’t for the people in my life that have provided endless encouragement and feedback to help me stay motivated and inspired, I wouldn’t be where I am today. This service is for creatives and freelancers alike that want a mentor by their side to bounce ideas off of and talk through the stages of freelance as they grow their business.

Before your mentorship begins, we will establish where you are at in your creative journey, your overall questions and curiosities that need to be addressed, and how I can help guide you in a productive way during our time together.

I customize your mentorship experience to what you need guidance on most. You’ll be able to select 3 topics that our conversations will be aligned with, along with a goal setting framework to keep you motivated beyond your mentorship!

I offer 3 open spots per quarter!

Mentorship details.

  • Freelancers who are looking for someone to support them in their business journey through guidance calls, goal setting, referrals and daily chat support.

  • • 3 discovery calls (1 hour each)

    • Chat support throughout the month every Tues and Thurs

    • Your choice of 3 topics to be discussed during the discovery calls

    • My personal resource list for digital business tools

    • Other cheat sheets aligned with your chosen topics

  • You will schedule your first discovery call with me once you book the mentorship. Then, during our first call we will schedule the other calls throughout the month to make sure all dates and times work best for your schedule!

  • For the entire month, it is $750 for the mentorship. The total is due upon booking the mentorship. Add-ons are available during our time together in case you want to explore an adobe tutorial or would like to add on another guidance call.

  • Your mentorship resources, video recordings, schedule, notes and chat support will be managed through Notion. It’s free and very easy to use on your phone for on-the-go, or on your computer!

    If you are wanting to take an Adobe program tutorial with your mentorship, it’s up to you if you want to have Illustrator or InDesign ready to go during the tutorial, or you can follow along and refer to our recorded session when you are ready to dive into Adobe programs on your own.

Hello! I’m Ashley - the designer, illustrator, and founder of Libra Collective. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with clients all over the world, and in various industries from start ups to large corporations.   • I will send you a questionnaire prior to our guidance call that will help me understand what you specifically need guidance on. I make sure to be prepared prior to our call so no time is wasted, and so you get the most out of our time together.

    The mentorship works in a similar way. I will ask you questions prior to our mentorship, prepare material for you, and I will make sure to align our conversations to what will benefit you most and propel you forward in your creative journey.

  • These services are all done online via google meets! Often times we will share screens so this is the most productive way to communicate with each other for these sessions. If you are more comfortable with a phone call for the guidance calls, that works also!

  • Everyone starts somewhere. The more you allow yourself to be curious, ask questions and build your knowledge, the faster you will get to where you want to be. If there was one piece of advice I could have given myself at the beginning of my freelance journey, it would have been to talk to a professional that has been doing this for a long time - so I could learn more early on instead of learning the hard way. So congrats on starting here! You’re in the right place!
